Fables starts with the desserts people already know and love — the cookies from after school, the cakes from family tables, the recipes passed down through generations — and gives them a little new life.
Some come directly from family recipes. Others are inspired by the flavors and memories I grew up with. Every one is made in small batches, developed in a commercial kitchen, and given its own place in the Fables story.

These are the kinds of bakes meant for coffee with a friend, a box on the break-room table, something sweet after dinner, or a treat passed around at a family gathering.

Prologue
A bakehouse with a story.
Fables began with a love of baking, old movies with Grandma Anna, and a dream that kept finding its way back to me.
What started as an idea for a future comic shop and café with my husband Lee has grown into something I’m building one batch at a time — a place rooted in nostalgic bakes, family stories, creativity, and community.
Let’s make something lovely.
Some bakes are meant to stay with you. Others are meant to show up at the table, the office, the party, or someone’s doorstep.
